NetDDE also has a tendency to fail in my opinion. I think this is likely to happen if the server failed to abide by the correct protocol.

NetDDE is fitting for a server that supplies data to several clients on a number of machines. It starts working right upon receiving a promot within client machines. This does not affect the performance of the server and this is exactly what I love about it.

I wonder why people compare NetDDE with COM. They work entirely different from each other. Some say DDE is old fashion and less advanced compared to COM. I do not think so! They are meant for two different issues.

The best trick for me in terms of dealing with a hard drive failure is knowing who to turn to. Make yourself familiar with hard drive recovery shops. Know how you can get in touch with these companies so you can easily communicate with them when the need arises.

I have always encountered hardware failure. I would always panic that my files will be lost. I relied on hardware technician most of the time. i did not know that I can actually solve this through simple ways. Now I do not have to spend a cent to have it fixed.

Loved, loved, LOVED Lotus Notes. Truly a fantastic product, as far as I was concerned. I was hoping it might come back in some flavor at some point, but nope.

I blame IBM. Those bitches seriously dropped the ball on a product that was a winner.

MS has always been a pain to network with, and it really wasn’t until Windows 7 that they got it right. In the meantime, how many years of labor were wasted on MS junk.

Novell was far better, in my opinion. Clearly the Beta to Microsoft’s VHS.

Automation is something that this flavor of Windows really wasn’t good at. I’m sure that Mead had their difficulties, because it was just a frankly horrible product.
